Abalde: “The team is feeling good, eager to step on the court and compete”

Alberto Abalde spoke before the team's training session to prepare for the EuroLeague final. The player analyzed the matchup against Olympiacos: “The team is feeling good, regaining strength, and focusing on the game. We are preparing the tactical adjustments we need with the coaching staff. We are calm but with that good nervous energy to compete and step onto the court.”

“Given the circumstances with the absences we have, controlling the rebounds will be key. We have to figure out a way to manage defensive rebounds because they have very big players. We were very clear about that against Valencia Basket, and we managed to succeed. It will be more difficult against Olympiacos, but we have to find ways to control that. Then, they have clear scoring threats with Fournier, Dorsey, and Vezenkov. There are still several things we need to keep adjusting during training.”

“We have quite a few players who have been in situations like this. Even our captain has been in many of these over the years and has lifted titles. He is our leader, and we all follow his example. Everyone is focused. The difficulties we are facing make us even more alert.”
