Facundo Campazzo became the third foreign player with the most matches played for Real Madrid (487) on Sunday against Coviran Granada. The Argentine point guard reflected on this milestone and reviewed the current situation of the team led by Scariolo on Realmadrid TV: “This is my first home. My daughters were born here, and I am very happy. It all happened so quickly and in such a short time that it wasn't until yesterday that I was able to grasp it, being up there with Tavares and Carroll. I am happy for all the experiences I've had here beyond the titles. The day-to-day life in this club, with my teammates, friends, and family, makes me feel at home.”

Evolution at Real Madrid
“I think I have evolved a lot. I arrived here as an impulsive, dynamic player who ran everywhere. Now, I still run everywhere but with better control of the game rhythms, improving some technical aspects of my game, both for scoring and defending. Playing here, at Real Madrid, with the incredible quality of my teammates and those I’ve had the chance to play alongside, has made me a better player, and I’m happy with how I’ve evolved.”

Memories
“My first title, although I didn’t have much of a role, was one of the most special because it was a completely different role than I was used to. It was my first year outside Argentina, and I was part of the team along with Nocioni, Llull, and an incredible group. Then, I have a very fond memory of one of my first games against Gran Canaria, where everything was very new, and I had the chance to enter, running, making some flashy plays, and enjoying it a lot.”

Proud to belong to Madrid
“Being part of this team, this group, and these objectives that we set year after year is like a flame that burns within us. It’s very contagious. Once you experience the success of winning a title and wearing this jersey, you want to feel that sensation every year. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to play for this club and every time I get the chance to be here, I give my all for the jersey.”

Upcoming commitments
“We have to approach them calmly. While Friday’s game is important for us, we have 11 EuroLeague matches left, and we want to win as many games as possible. The first and last game we have is Friday against Partizan. Then, we play on Sunday in Málaga, which could be a tricky match because we will also face them in the Copa del Rey. There’s a lot at stake, and to stay focused, the only way is to think about our daily work and do everything possible today so that we’re prepared for the important matches.”
