Real Madrid-San Pablo Burgos: aiming to remain unbeaten at home
PREVIEW.Edu Bueno

Real Madrid hosts Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos on the third matchday of the Endesa League (12:30 pm CEST, Dazn). Scariolo's men, who will play their third game in five days after the Euroleague double-header, will try to continue their winning streak at the Movistar Arena, where they have won all four games played to date (one in the league and three in the Euroleague).

Our team are showing their best form at home in front of their fans at the start of the season. Today they will have another opportunity to do so with the visit of newly promoted San Pablo Burgos. With the same record as their opponents (1-1), Madrid want to end the week with another victory at the Movistar Arena and maintain their unbeaten home record. They have already defeated Gran Canaria, Olympiacos, Asvel and Partizan.

Bruno Savignani's side are making their mark at the start of the season as a high-scoring team with a strong defence, especially in rebounding and steals (they lead the league in this category). Puerto Rican Jackson, a very complete shooting guard; Gonzalo Corbalán, son of the Real Madrid legend; and Meindl, an experienced and quality forward, are their offensive leaders. Luke Fischer and Gudmundsson are doubtful for the game.

Previous encounters
San Pablo Burgos is back at the top level after a three-season absence. Their last visit to the Palacio ended in a 70-63 victory for Real Madrid in 2021. The record stands at 9-1 in our team's favour, having won on the five occasions that the two teams have met in Madrid.
