Real Madrid-Panathinaikos: EuroLeague returns to the Palacio

Real Madrid are back at the Palacio two weeks on for another big European night. The match-up will bring together the two most successful teams on the continent, currently playing in the EuroLeague. Real Madrid, winners of 11 European Cups, host Panathinaikos, who have seven. Scariolo's side, who are unbeaten at home so far this season, will be looking to extend their winning run and secure their sixth victory in this competition.

The mighty Greek outfit will provide another stern test for the Madridistas' unbeaten run at the Movistar Arena. Panathinaikos are always one of the big favourites and have strengthened their squad with TJ Shorts, the electric American point guard formerly of Paris Basketball. They boast a formidable roster. Sloukas, Nunn, Grant and Osman complete a high-quality perimeter. Inside, Faried has arrived to replace the injured Lessort and Yurtseven. The centre made his debut with 17 points and 10 rebounds in the win in Paris.

Two weeks later
Madrid are back at the Palacio after four consecutive away games, where they secured three wins (Zaragoza, Barcelona and Badalona). At home, they are performing even better, claiming victory by an average of 16 points. In their last game at the Movistar Arena, they beat Fenerbahce by 26 points. This will be their first game in November in front of their fans and the start of three consecutive games at the Movistar Arena, with Bilbao Basket on Sunday and Zalgiris on Thursday next week.
