Real Madrid-Joventut: gunning for their second win of the week
PREVIEW.Rodrigo Salamanca

With just six games remaining in the ACB Regular Season, Real Madrid face a tough test at the WiZink Center in game 29 against Joventut this evening (6:30pm CEST). The objective is to win their 24th game and remain in the fight for the top spot in the championship.

Chus Mateo's men go into the game on the back of a win in Kaunas in the last game of the Euroleague Regular Season. Now it's time to consolidate that momentum at home with the second win of the week against one of the league's most historic teams. Madrid and Joventut have played each other 188 times, with 141 wins in our favour. Madrid beat Joventut 73-101 in Badalona in the first round of the season.

Joventut go into the game following the appointment of Dani Miret, who has taken over from Carles Durán on the bench. The Badalona side visit the WiZink with a place in the playoffs at stake (they are two wins behind eighth-placed Joventut). Andrés Feliz is their reference point and one of the best in the league, with an average of 15.3 points and 17.1 PIR. The Dominican is joined by great players such as ex-Madrid player Tomic and Cook.

Everyone plays their part
The team coached by Chus Mateo leads in many key aspects: it is the highest rated team, the one with the most defensive rebounds, the one with the most assists and the one with the best two-point shots, among others. In addition to all this, there is also individual quality, as demonstrated by Deck's last-second winning basket in Kaunas. The outside contributions of MusaHezonja and Yabusele, and the dominance of Tavares and Poirier at the low post will also be fundamental.
