Real Madrid-Casademont Zaragoza: basketball is back at the WiZink Center
PREVIEW.Edu Bueno

Basketball is back at the WiZink Center. After almost four months since the victory in the second game of the Endesa League final against UCAM Murcia last season, Real Madrid will play their first home game of the campaign. Casademont Zaragoza are the opponents in the second round of the league. Chus Mateo‘s men are looking to get their first win of the season in this competition.

It will be a challenging game for our team as they try to turn the WiZink Center into a fortress. They welcome a team that has been heavily strengthened with the arrival of Euroleague players such as the point guard Spissu and the centre Dubljevic, as well as keeping Bell-Haynes, AJ Slaughter, Yusta and Sulejmanovic, to mention but a few. The six ended with double-digit scoring in the overtime win over Hiopos Lleida.

The madridistas look for continuity in their play to start moving forward. Following significant departures, the team is getting back on track. Rathan-Mayes is settling in more and more, as we saw in Munich, and he will have to be one of the team's offensive focal points. Campazzo has started the season on a high level and is the team's top scorer, averaging 19.2 points and 22.2 PIR.

Home winning streak
Real Madrid have so far won all 17 of the Zaragoza side's visits to our court. A streak that dates back to 2009. We have remained undefeated since then. The last meeting between the two teams at the WiZink Center was a 101-70 win last season.
