Real Madrid-Bayern Múnich: second pre-season friendly
Chus Mateo's men face the German side today in their debut in the XII Costa del Sol Tournament (8:00pm CEST).
Real Madrid carry on with their preparation for the Endesa Super Cup, which takes a week from now in Murcia. The Whites play both today and tomorrow in the XII Costa del Sol Tournament both games can be seen live on Realmadrid TV. Chus Mateo's team get their participation underway this afternoon against Bayern Munich at the Rubén Ruzafa Pavilion in Rincón de la Victoria. The team has travelled to Málaga with nine players from the first team squad and four home-grown players.
The Madridistas are the reigning champions of the tournament and also the most successful team with five titles 2012, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022, the most recent one being last season after beating Unicaja and Zalgiris. This year, the first opponent will be another big team in the form of Bayern, with whom they will meet in the Euroleague. A revitalised team led by Pablo Laso, former Madrid coach and legend, which has been bolstered by top-level players such as Bolmaro, Edwards and Booker.
