This afternoon, Real Madrid head to the Gran Canaria Arena for the penultimate matchday of the league with the aim of securing their 27th win in the competition 1.30pm CET. The Whites will be looking to cap off a great week after reaching the EuroLeague Final Four and Friday's league win at La Fonteta.

The games come thick and fast for Real Madrid. After Wednesday's historic comeback at the WiZink Center against Partizan, the madridistas returned two days later with another victory on the challenging court of Valencia Basket. However, the week is not over and before tackling the EuroLeague semi-finals against Barcelona Friday, 8pm CET, there is another highly demanding league clash against Gran Canaria, who will also be in the play-offs for the league title.
Today's game will be the seventh matchup in a fortnight for Madrid. And, so far, the Whites have a 100% record Casademont Zaragoza, the three against Partizan, Unicaja and Valencia Basket. A feat accomplished by this team, also in view of the injuries they have sustained. Meanwhile, Gran Canaria go into the match on the back of an away win over Carplus Fuenlabrada. They have had a very strong season. On 3 May they lifted the Eurocup, the first European trophy in their history.

Previous meetings
Madrid have won on their last four visits to the Gran Canaria court, a streak that began in 2019. Last season Madrid won there by 83-91. In the first round of fixtures they did so by 20 points 105-85. The madridistas will have to be vigilant in defence because Gran Canaria possess one of the most potent offences in the competition. They are especially threatening from three-point range. Madrid will be looking to round off a great week ahead of the Final Four with a victory.
