There's another huge EuroLeague clash to come at the Movistar Arena. Real Madrid take on Monaco tonight on matchday 24 (8.45 pm CET). The best team at home hosts the team with the second most away wins. Both teams are tied on 15 wins in the chasing pack behind the leaders. Scariolo's side are looking for their sixth win in a row to extend what is now their best run in Europe this season.

This is an important match in terms of the final standings. Real Madrid and Monaco are fourth and second, respectively, with the same record (15-8). In the first leg, our team lost 100-95, so today they will have the double objective of winning and trying to win by a greater margin.

Real Madrid are unbeaten in the month of January (wins over Dubai Basketball, Asvel, Maccabi, Barça and Milan). Monaco ended their run of six straight wins on the last matchday with a loss to KK Crvena Zvezda. Real Madrid are defending their status as the best home team in the EuroLeague. They have won 11 of 12 games at the Movistar Arena. Meanwhile, Monaco have 7 wins away from home, several of them on such difficult courts as Olympiacos, Valencia Basket and Barcelona.

Defence
Madrid are riding high in attack, posting two of their highest scoring performances in EuroLeague history this month (107 points against Dubai Basketball and 106 against Milan). But the driving force behind the Madridistas' excellent form is the defensive display. In their last three victories between the two competitions, they have conceded an average of 72.3 points. Defence will be vital today because Monaco are the top scorers in the EuroLeague, averaging 92 points per game. The Whites will be vying for another victory at the Palacio.
