Alocén returns to action
The point guard returned to action for Real Madrid after the serious injury he sustained on 14 February 2022.
It is great news for Real Madrid. Carlos Alocén made his comeback with the Whites 21 months and almost two weeks after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee against Unicaja in the league on 14 February 2022. Chus Mateo introduced him in the first quarter to a standing ovation from his teammates and the WiZink Center faithful. The point guard, who was on the court for 7:34 minutes, was once again a basketball player and contributed to the leader's victory against Morabanc Andorra.
At the age of 22, Carlos Alocén still has plenty of basketball left in him and many pleasures to give to Real Madrid. The two-time ACB Best Young Player of the Year (2018/19 and 2019/20) sustained an injury on matchday 22 of the 2021/22 season, one year after his arrival at Real Madrid. Since then, it has been a journey of hard work, perseverance and day-to-day improvement with the single objective of coming back stronger. Until then, he had played 91 games in our jersey and has six trophies to his name: 1 Euroleague title, 1 Liga Endesa title and 4 Spanish Super Cups.
