Facundo Campazzo analyzed the upcoming EuroLeague Round 24 clash between Real Madrid and Monaco (Thursday, 8:45 pm CET). The Argentine guard stated: “We’re on a good run of form. We’re coming off a very good game, but we need to keep pushing ourselves, especially on defense, which is where we're feeling really strong. The opponent has real offensive firepower in many positions—strong on one-on-one plays, tough shots, and great point scorers.”

“It’ll be a good test for us tomorrow to try and keep up this positive run. We need to control the pace of the game, be solid on defense, and run fast. Every game is different, and we don’t know what will happen. We have to focus on our defensive discipline. We need to win to stay near the top.”

Importance of defense
“It’s very hard to win anything if you don’t defend well. We have a lot of offensive talent, but when you build on a solid defense, the attack matters less. If we control defense and lower their scoring, we’ll have a better chance of winning it. We feel better defensively when we attack better too, we have plenty of resources to put points on the board.”

First round clash
“We’re coming into this one feeling much more positive, playing a little better. We want to control the game. We can’t afford to be chasing them. They’re a team that can win the EuroLeague, they have lots of experience and play some great basketball. They're among the toughest opponents out there right now—it'll be a good challenge and test for us.”

The Palacio
“We’re strong at home. We don’t want to lose in front of our fans. We play with more confidence here, but tonight's opponent won in Valencia and they know how to play these games. We need to stay as disciplined as possible, compete, and fight. That will be key to keeping our home court strong.”
