The Real Madrid Foundation runs a weekly extra-curricular activity program  for football, basketball and values for young people between 5 and 17 years old in Spain. During last season, they benefitted over 3,000 children under a strict healthcare protocol across 43 football and basketball schools. These, alongside the 22 adapted and inclusive schools, allow children whatever their circumstances or abilities, to learn football or basketball skills and values.

These activities are aimed at enhancing the participants' abilities in a wholesome fashion as people, improving how they interact with others and instilling values, leaving competition aside. Each program is adapted to a specific social sphere and a minimum of 15% to a maximum on 100% of the places are reserved for participants at risk of exclusion and have the support of a range of organisations including La Fundación “la Caixa”, Endesa, HSBC, GSK, Banco Santander, Ecopilas, Exolum, Liberbank, etc.

The schools are run alongside specialist disability organisations.

In regards to diversity, the inclusive and adapted football and basketball social sports schools are run in collaboration with organisations specialised in the field of disability including: Fundación ConecTEA, Down Madrid, Fundación ALAPAR and Atades Zaragoza. The projects are aimed at young people with Down's Syndrome, Pervasive developmental disorder (PDD), intellectual difficulties and those on the autistic spectrum, as well as groups of adults with general learning difficulties.

During 2020-21 season, the adapted football and basketball schools were consolidated through an alliance with the Fundación Ana Carolina Díez-Mahou and support from GSK for kids between 7 and 14 years old who suffer from respiratory issues. Furthermore, in Fuenlabrada, there is a second adapted football school, which allows students up to 20 years old to continue their comprehensive sports training with the Real Madrid Foundation.
