The link-up has seen over 400 minors in youth offenders' institutions benefit from socio-sporting activities.
Real Madrid’s director of institutional relations, Emilio Butragueño, was welcomed by the president of the Fundación Mutualidad de la Abogacía, Enrique Sanz Fernández-Lomana, and the institution’s vice-president, Cipriano Arteche, in a working meeting that took place at the Mutualidad de la Abogacía headquarters to mark the end of the third year of the organisations’ collaboration.
Also in attendance at the event were the general secretary of the Fundación Mutualidad Abogacía,
Antonio Albanes; the director of National Department at the Real Madrid Foundation, Silvia Montes-Jovellar; the general director of the Mutualidad de la Abogacía, Rafael Navas; the deputy general director of the Mutualidad de la Abogacía, Fernando Ariza; and the vice-director general of Business Development, Marketing and Communications at the Mutualidad de la Abogacía, José María Palomares.

Since the 2018/19 season, the Fundación Mutualidad de la Abogacía has supported various elements of the Real Madrid Foundation’s socio-sporting projects with a view to raising awareness amongst lawyers of the importance of the inclusion and integration of individuals and groups across all areas of the labour and social landscape, as is witnessed in the world of sport.

The fact that the two organisations share objectives, such as improving people’s quality of life, employability and social integration and the holistic training of vulnerable groups saw the two institutions establish a partnership agreement that has just celebrated its third year. During this period, minors in youth offenders’ institutions have benefited along with minors of different capabilities.

Collaboration between organisations
During the course of the event, Butragueño highlighted “the importance that organisations with similar objectives and approaches work together to improve the lives of young people. Let’s hope that this partnership continues on for many years”. For his part, Sanz Fernández-Lomana commented that, “It’s an honour for us to be working with the Real Madrid Foundation through its socio-sporting schools in the field of outreach to help to improve what is one of our key objectives: financial education”.
