The Foundation concludes a season of growth and consolidation of its projects for people with disabilities
NACHRICHT.

The 2025-26 season has brought new momentum to the projects aimed at people with disabilities by the Real Madrid Foundation, both in Spain and internationally. The increase in the number of beneficiaries, the launch of new programs, the consolidation of inclusive initiatives, and the reinforcement of specialized training reflect the Foundation's commitment to accessible, adapted, and inclusive sports for all.

National projects for people with disabilities reached a historic record of participation this season, exceeding 700 beneficiaries across the various Foundation schools. This growth was accompanied by an expansion of offerings to meet growing demand. Among the main milestones is the launch of a new adapted basketball school and the expansion of groups in sensory football projects, enabling a greater number of children and young people to access sports activities tailored to their needs.

Another notable aspect has been the special connection of the Real Madrid first basketball team with these schools, participating in various activities and events that brought professional sports closer to the students and reinforced the values of inclusion and perseverance promoted by the Foundation.

This work has been made possible thanks to the support of sponsors backing the projects for people with disabilities: Endesa, GSK, Fundación Sanitas, HSBC, Fundación Cajastur, Las Colinas Country Club, El Corte Inglés, UPS, Fundación ConecTEA, Fundación Laureus, and Corpay.

Inclusion continues to grow internationally
The international expansion of adapted projects also marked the season. In the Americas, the Foundation launched a new adapted school in August 2025 in the neighborhood of La Paz, in Barranquilla (Colombia), in collaboration with the Camilos Religious Order and the San Camilo Integral Education and Rehabilitation Center (CE Camilo). The project benefits 60 people through adapted football and basketball activities.

In Morocco, the first Alma Inclusive Cup was held in Tetouan, in collaboration with the NGO Hanan. The sports day brought together over a hundred children, with and without disabilities, from the seven social sports schools of the Foundation in the country and various local partners. The event became an example of coexistence and inclusion, demonstrating the power of sports as a tool to foster participation for all.

In the Asia-Pacific region, the wheelchair basketball school developed by the Foundation in collaboration with SAUCE in Cambodia has successfully completed its second season. Additionally, during this term, a new sensory project was identified in Vietnam, paving the way for the launch of a new school.

Training, a key to continued progress
Specialized training once again played a key role during the season. More than 170 follow-up visits and training sessions were conducted for the teaching staff of adapted projects, reinforcing the educational and methodological quality of the schools. Evidence of this is the development of a new evaluation tool for support coaches working with students with specific support needs, enabling continued improvement and individualization of the training offered to the coaches.

As a major innovation, the Foundation held the first Incluir con Alma Training Sessions, a meeting that brought together more than 160 professionals and experts linked to sports and disabilities at the Ciudad Real Madrid. The event received an average rating of 9.64 out of 10 from attendees. The international nature of the gathering was evident with the participation of leaders from adapted projects in various countries, including María Poulisse, director of CE Camilo (Colombia); Mouna Harrachi, coordinator of the Hanan adapted school (Morocco); and Ana Artacho, director of SAUCE (Cambodia), who shared experiences and best practices from their respective programs.

A season to continue building inclusion
The 2025-26 season consolidates the commitment of the Real Madrid Foundation to truly inclusive sports practice. The growth in the number of beneficiaries, the opening of new projects, the strengthening of the international network, and the investment in specialized training reflect a model that continues to expand opportunities for more people with disabilities to enjoy sports as a tool for personal development, education, and social inclusion.
