Communication from the Real Madrid Electoral Board to the two candidacies regarding postal voting
NOTÍCIA

Madrid, June 3, 2026

The Electoral Board, in the exercise of its functions of supervision, control, and guarantee of the electoral process as assigned by the Social Statutes, the Electoral Rules, and the operational development agreement (Annex II), communicates the following to the validly proclaimed candidacies:

In order to proceed with the retrieval of postal votes deposited in P.O. Box 6031 designated for this purpose, as well as the actions of reception, documentation, sealing, transportation, and custody as outlined in the Electoral Rules and Annex II, one (1) duly accredited representative from each candidacy wishing to attend these actions is summoned.

Representatives must appear on June 4, 2026, at 1:45 pm at the Electoral Board offices located in Ciudad Real Madrid.

At 2:00 pm, the vehicle that will transport attendees to the post office where P.O. Box 6031 is located will depart from these offices. Participation cannot be guaranteed for those arriving after this time. Therefore, punctuality is highly encouraged.

The planned actions will proceed as follows:

    1. Prior to traveling to the post office, the club's notary will record, through the corresponding certification or presence act, the date, time, and location of the start of the actions, as well as the identities of the members of the Electoral Board and the representatives of the candidacies present to attend.

    2. The club's notary, Mr. Cruz Gonzalo López-Müller Gómez, or, if necessary, his legal substitute, will proceed to withdraw the electoral correspondence deposited in P.O. Box 6031.

    3. The postal votes will be placed in containers designated for this purpose and sealed according to the procedure outlined in the Electoral Rules and Annex II.

    4. The notary will draft the corresponding notarial acts or presence certifications regarding the reception, withdrawal of the electoral documentation received, and sealing.

    5. All the above actions will take place in the presence of the attending members of the Electoral Board and the representatives of the candidacies present.

    6. Once these actions are completed, the electoral documentation will be transported from the post office to the headquarters of the Electoral Board in Ciudad Real Madrid, with the notary, the attending members of the Electoral Board, and the present representatives traveling together in the same vehicle.

    7. Upon arrival at the Electoral Board headquarters, the sealed containers will be deposited in the designated room for their custody, in the presence of the club's notary, the attending members of the Electoral Board, and the representatives of the candidacies who participated in these actions. The notary will record this deposit through the corresponding notarial act or presence certification. Subsequently, the containers will remain in the aforementioned room, secured under the custody terms outlined in the Electoral Rules and Annex II.

Attendees will be able to verify the integrity of the containers and their seals at the time of their deposit in the custody room.

This room will remain locked and subject to permanent surveillance by the club's security services, with video surveillance systems operating continuously throughout the custody period of the electoral documentation.

To enhance transparency and confidence in the integrity of the postal vote custody process, candidacies that request it may designate one of their duly accredited representatives to remain continuously in the vicinity of the access to the custody area throughout the period during which the postal votes remain deposited there.

This presence will be exclusively observational and will not grant powers of custody, control, access, or intervention over the electoral documentation, containers, seals, or postal votes. Likewise, the representatives will not be allowed to access the interior of the custody room or its contents except in cases and actions expressly provided for in the Electoral Rules and Annex II, or when agreed upon by the Electoral Board in the presence of the club's notary, if applicable.

The presence of representatives in this area will be considered within a space subject to the existing surveillance and security systems in the club's facilities, and it will be governed by the applicable video surveillance regulations and image processing in accordance with current legislation.

For organizational purposes, candidacies are requested to communicate as soon as possible:

a) Whether they will attend the aforementioned actions or not.

b) The identity of the representative who will appear on behalf of the candidacy.

c) A mobile phone number for said representative, exclusively for the purpose of contacting them in case of any issues related to the development of the convened actions.

The absence of representatives from one or both candidacies will not prevent or suspend the development of the convened actions.

This is communicated for all appropriate purposes.
