Campazzo: "We have to defend well and control the rebound"

Facundo Campazzo assessed Real Madrid’s EuroLeague Round 20 matchup against Asvel Villeurbanne (Tuesday, 20:00 CET): “It’s a tough game at a very difficult place to go. Asvel really feeds off its crowd. Last year we suffered a heavy defeat there.
We know what we’re up against. We’re coming off a tough loss in the ACB, and what better way to bounce back than against them? It’s a game that will demand a lot of us physically and mentally. If we can control the boards and the tempo, we’ll have a great chance to win it.”
The opponent
“They’re an athletic team where any player can guard any one of ours. We need to be ready and not give them a chance to dictate the pace of the game. We have to approach it in a generous manner, move the ball well and attack starting from defense. If we do that, our offense will flow and we won’t have to chase the game.”
Key to the game
“The key is controlling the rebound. If we do that, it’ll allow us to run more, take more possessions, clearer shots, and make our offense work. We need a solid defense, control of the rebound — that’s where a large part of the game will be decided.”
