We won our 27th Basketball League 29 years ago

Real Madrid beat Barcelona in the third game of the final (64-77) on 26 May 1994.
It is 29 years since Real Madrid's 27th basketball league title. On 26 May 1994, the team coached by Clifford Luyk became champions by beating Barcelona in the final. In the best-of-five series, only three games were needed, as the madridistas won the title on the fast track by winning the first two at home (81-67 and 79-69) and the next one away (64-77). And thus our team won its second consecutive league title.

Real Madrid was the best side during the Regular League with a balance of 24 wins and 4 losses. In the playoffs, they eliminated Breogán (in the round of 16), Manresa (in the quarter-finals) and Estudiantes (in the semi-finals) before the play-offs for the title against Barcelona. Arvydas Sabonis, who was voted MVP of the season and of the final, was outstanding in that season.
