Real Madrid brought their league campaign to a close with a draw. The Whites earned a point on their visit to Real Sociedad on the final matchday of the season. Nahikari put Alberto Toril’s side ahead after the re-start, but the San Sebastián side drew level in the 84th minute through Amaiur. After finishing second in the league, the madridistas will now face one of the biggest events of the season on Wednesday: the final four of the Copa de la Reina. They will be up against Athletic Club in the semi-finals (9pm).
The first chance of the game fell to Madrid (19'), who forced Lete to push away a right-footed effort from the edge of the area by Teresa. In the next attack, the Donostiarras had a chance to take the lead, but Amaiur's shot narrowly missed the target. The madridistas sought to break the deadlock and, in the 28th minute, Olga came close to doing just that. Her long-range strike from deep came crashing back off the crossbar. Shortly afterwards, the home side responded with an overhead kick from Amaiur, who had another chance just before half-time, but Gérard pulled off a great save to deny her.

Zornoza swung in a corner kick and Nahikari got in front of her marker and struck a right-footed effort inside the near post to make it 0-1. Toril's charges pushed for a second and, in the 62nd minute, Freja Siri's drive went narrowly over the crossbar. Ten minutes later, Lete had to be at her best to deny Bea Vélez's cross-shot. The homegrown player, who came on in the 72nd minute, was making her debut for the first team. But Real Sociedad's goal came at a crucial moment of the game. Amaiur levelled the score when she latched onto a through ball from Etxezarreta. The game ended 1-1 and Madrid now turn their attention to the semi-final of the Copa de la Reina against Athletic Club.
