Raúl's men earned a point against Alcorcón thanks to Álvaro Martín's goal in a match where the Whites had chances to win.

Real Madrid Castilla picked up a point against Alcorcón in the top-of-the-table clash in the Primera Federación. The Whites dominated the game and had the chances to secure the victory. Álvaro Martín put the academy side ahead on 24’, but Pablo García equalised four minutes later. In the second half, Raúl’s men went in search of a winner, but the game ended in a draw, which sees Castilla remain in second place, two points behind leaders Alcorcón, who extended their unbeaten run to 16 games.

Castilla made a bright start to the match and carved out their first chance when Arribas’ strike from distance was well saved by Jesús Ruiz. Alcorcón responded with two efforts from Chiki. After an evenly balanced opening period, the madridistas began to take control of the play and in the 24th minute Álvaro Martín opened the scoring for the hosts. Obrador won the ball back high up the pitch and the ball fell to Arribas who fed Álvaro who made it 1-0. But the visitors soon pulled level, as Pablo García got on the end of a corner (28’).

Raúl’s side regained their composure and enjoyed the lion’s share of possession but lacked the finishing touch in the final third. After the re-start, the game continued with the same pattern of play. Castilla applied the early pressure as they went in search of a second goal and they almost got their reward – first when Arribas went close with a free-kick (48’), followed by Theo‘s left-footed strike that narrowly missed the target (53’). The intensity of play dropped a level in the final half hour, as both sides cancelled each other out. Alcorcón pressed the hosts high up, but Castilla still managed to pose a threat up the other end. In the 82nd minute, Obrador had the chance to win it when he collected a fine ball by Arribas and his shot from the left was blocked by Jesús Ruiz. Two minutes from time, Aranda looked to catch out the keeper, but his effort sailed wide and the match ended all square.
