The centre spearheaded Real Madrid to victory in Belgrade with 17 points and 12 rebounds and a PIR of 35 - his second-best performance in this competition for the club. He also posted 87.5% two-point shooting (7/8), 75% free throw shooting (3/4), and contributed 4 blocks, 3 assists and received 7 fouls in 27:40 minutes of play.
Tavares is averaging 11.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.8 blocks and 18.4 in PIR. He is the second Madrid player to collect this award this season after Musa, who did so on matchdays 6 and 9. The Cape Verdean has recorded four double-doubles so far this season in the EuroLeague.
