Lolo Sainz: “I'm so proud to receive this award”
“It's brought back memories of my sporting youth alongside Emiliano. I'm really happy and proud not only for what the award recognises: your work over all the years, but also because it carries the name of a sporting legend of the sort we've seen few in Spain. I'm so happy, I felt really comfortable and, above all, I'm so proud to receive it."
Emiliano: “I'd like to dedicate this trophy to Pedro Ferrándiz”
“A lot of people still remember me and that fills me with satisfaction and pride. Many years have passed, but the fact that the CSD and the panel have chosen these winners fills me with pride. I would like to dedicate this trophy to somebody who recently left us and who had very close ties to Real Madrid: Pedro Ferrándiz, who has been a part of my life. I also want to dedicate it to Real Madrid, the club's president, Florentino Pérez, the board of directors, my family, my wife, my children and all of the good friends who were really pleased that people still remember Emiliano.”
