“There are always moments where the referee has a say. We can’t change it but we put on a great display both before and after the move. If there was a foul in the build-up, that what VAR is there for”.
Benzema: "We played as a team, helped each other out on the pitch and having qualified is really important for us".

"When you look at tonight's opposition, that was perhaps one of our best performances of the season. It also showed us that you have to focus in every move. That could happen in the last 16, for example. You produce a really good 90 minutes and then go and concede twice and that's far worse. That's why you've got to concentrate for the full 90 minutes, but we produced a good display".

"I didn't enjoy Navas's performance because he made some very good saves. I'm pleased for him but not for us. As for Mbappé, we know all about his quality but we defended really well against him virtually all game. When an opposing player has that quality, there are moves that you can't defend against, given his pace".
