"Now we have to stick together, believe we can get through this and give it everything we've got”, he added.
Raphaël Varane assessed the clash with Alavés in the mixed zone at Mendizorroza: “We're on a bad run, but we have to stay positive. It was a disappointing result today. We started the game well, with the right attitude, but they punished us at the end. Now we have to focus on the positives, stick together, believe we can get through this and give it everything we've got”.
"Out on the pitch there are good and bad moments, but we have to stay united. It is a challenging spell, but we should not down tools at all because we can turn this around. There is a lot of quality in this group, enough to change this situation. We just need a little more confidence and to get those results, but we will crack it with hard work".

It's a tough spell but we can't let our heads drop because we can turn this around.

We have a lot of patience with Lopetegui and we have plenty of faith in this group. I do not think we lack any character, we are the same as before, we have the same attitude and spirit, we always want to win. We are going through a tricky moment and now more than ever we need character and those who have more time have to help others and be a team. Today we played ok and at moments we controlled the game, but we are going to get on with it, move ahead and go forward with our heads held high, knowing we can give everything."
Lacking goals?
"In football you need to keep a cool head. We are not going to look for excuses. You can see that in front of goal we do not have that same effectiveness as before, but we will keep on working so that it come back as soon as possible and then this situation will change".
