"We have a chance to turn things around on Tuesday and give our fans something to shout about", commented Lucas Vázquez.
Marcelo and Lucas Vázquez addressed the media in the aftermath of the game against Levante and the vice-captain had the following to say: "Today wasn't the worst performance we've produced. We did some good things out there but the ball just didn't want to go in. We've got to recover and keep working. It's tough when you have so many shots and only one of them goes in, but we have to keep our heads up if we're to get back to winning ways".

"We're struggling to put our chance away. Levante didn't do all that much today. They scored two goals following mistakes from us. We tried our very best to at least level things up and did everything we could to make that happen. We're out for the count because we gave every last ounce out there. I think that we did more than them to win the game. When you're at Real Madrid, you're always under pressure and when you don't win, you need to work hard, stand up and be counted and keep going".

"We’re with the coach until the end. He explains things clearly and he gets on really well with us and it seems unfair to talk about this start to the season as you did with Benítez. I don’t think it's good that they don’t let the coach get on with his work and that they say silly things about us needing another striker or another coach. These things are put right in training, playing and showing what we’re made of. We’ll give everything to win".
Lucas Vázquez: "We have to stay calm and work hard"
"We gave everything to try to win and turn things around, but we lost due to the fine details. We have another opportunity to turn things around on Tuesday, trying to get the win and give the fans something to shout about. We didn’t expect the result and it’s not fair, especially after the number of chances we created. If we continue to create them, the wins will come. We’re all in this together, players and coaching staff, the dressing room is together and we’re pulling in the same direction. We’ll start preparing for Tuesday's game tomorrow. Julen knows where he is at this club and the pressure is on everyone".

"I’d say to the fans that we’ll continue to work hard to turn the situation around, hoping that they’ll continue to support and get behind us. Two small details have punished us with two goals, we’ve hit the woodwork three times, a thousand chances that didn’t go in... We must stay calm, not make a big thing about it and work hard".
