“Our first half was amazing”, added Achraf.

Nacho has discussed the team's thrashing of Sevilla at the Bernabéu: "Scoring a goal in this shirt is special. Today was an important day for us against great opposition, we’re very happy. We talked about going out strong and dominating the game and we did it in the best way possible, scoring a goal very early on. It was a very good first half, in the first 45 minutes we had total control, we were very comfortable on the pitch and the team's reaction was to keep fighting until the end. That's how we have to play all the time".

"Sevilla are a great team that will be fighting up at the top, without a doubt. We needed a game like this, keeping a clean sheet and scoring a lot of goals. Now we have to continue playing like this and take it in to the Club World Cup".

"We have some important players out, but everyone’s stepped up to the task. Both Achraf and Vallejo were phenomenal. We were all very comfortable. Keeping a clean sheet fills the whole team with confidence".

“We’re always confident. Sometimes things don’t come off as we’d like, but we always show our character. It was a matter of time before we had a game like today. It’s not easy to play against Sevilla, they’re tough opposition and we had players out, but we’ve got a great squad and it was a great performance.
