Asensio: "The result didn't flatter us"

Marco Asensio was a starter in Madrid's win over Éibar and claimed the madridistas's second goal. The midfielder offered his thoughts at the final whistle: "I’m happy with the game and the way we played. We controlled all phases of the match and created a lot of chances. The result didn't flatter us. There were some flaws, but we performed well. We have to continue in this vein and now start to think about the Copa del Rey".
 
"My goal was a good team move, the ball fell to Isco, who played it over and picked me out and I hit it first time and it went in. We have a very good relationship and you can see that out on the pitch. It's plain to see when we play together".

Affection from the fans
"It's an incredible feeling. The affection from the fans is what counts and I try to repay them with performances like tonight's and with goals. We all have to pull in the same direction. I have to thank them for coming to the stadium and getting behind us like this".
