Real Madrid won the LaLiga title again, adding the 2016/17 title to their collection. The Whites won the title on the final day of the season, with a 0-2 away win over Málaga, giving them a three-point advantage over Barcelona. It was the climactic end to a LaLiga campaign which ended with a final balance of: 29 wins, 6 draws and 3 defeats.
On the way to the title the team scored some great last minute goals. These goals allowed them to turn things around in the Bernabéu against Deportivo and Betis, snatch a draw at the Camp Nou and draw away to Las Palmas. The team also did well in terms of number of goals, as for the first time in club history they ended the LaLiga campaign scoring in every match. They also struck over 100 goals (106 to be precise) for the ninth time.

They also broke a record for away goals, as no other team has ever notched 58 away goals in a campaign. Cristiano Ronaldo ended the LaLiga season with 25 goals and was decisive in the final part of the season, scoring in his last four games.

The title celebrations started at La Rosaleda, as the players showed their happiness. Afterwards, the team headed back to the capital to celebrate with their fans at Cibeles long into the night. The party concluded the next day as the team visited the key institutions around Madrid.
