Training Session

The squad returned to training at Real Madrid City with five days to go until the 37th edition of the Santiago Bernabéu Trophy, which takes place on the 16th of August against Stade de Reims (10:30pm). Bale and Kroos trained with the group in a session based largely on ball work. Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe and Coentrão carried out separate running drills on the pitch while Benzema worked in the indoor facilities.

Zidane called up Real Madrid Castilla players Mariano, Odegaard and Luca for the session which began with some warm up exercises and muscle strengthening routines. The madridistas also completed a series of possession and pressuring exercises, as well as games on reduced-size pitches, during a session which lasted around two hours.
