“I'm happy that the manager thinks I put in a good performance and that he is speaking about me on more than just a personal level. I didn't feel like the worst player before when I wasn't playing and I don't feel like the best one now just because of the boss's praise”.
“I remembered all my loved ones. I am grateful to everyone who came to the Bernabéu and all those who watched the game at home. The thing I hold dearest is when I'm not playing and people say kind things to me and give me good advice".
"When you don't play it's really frustrating but I'm still very confident. Jesé and I needed this game”.
Arbeloa: “We put on a great show against a good side”
"It was a tough match and we had a lot of players out. A lot of the less regular starters played so we lacked our usual match fitness but we put on a great show against a good side. Our minds turned to Tuesday a bit during the second half but it was still a deserved victory for us”.
“We have been improving greatly over the last four or five matchdays. We are doing a good job. We understand that this is the most important stage of the season and we are happy with the way things are panning out at the moment”.
Fight for La Liga
“I believe that each matchday is critical, no one knows in which match Barcelona might drop points. We have to be on our toes and focus on winning all our remaining fixtures”.
