Defender in La Cuarta and La Quinta
He joined Real Madrid at the age of 23 and helped the team win the fourth and fifth European Cups in his first two seasons. In the first of these campaigns, he played in all three semi-final matches against Atlético de Madrid. He played the entire quarter-final against Nice in the season of La Quina and was involved in the second leg of the semi-final win over Barcelona.
As well as the two European titles, the Salamanca-born player also won the first Intercontinental Cup in 1960, and a league title in the same season. He passed away on 22 March 2014.
