Flávio Conceição won trophies in every one of his seasons as a madridista - a total of six in three years: 1 Champions League, 2 LaLigas, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 1 European Super Cup and 1 Spanish Super Cup. He arrived at the club in the summer of 2000 having won the league with Deportivo, where he was outstanding in central midfield. His Real Madrid debut came against Galatasaray in the European Super Cup. It was the first of his 74 appearances for our team.

In his second year at the club, he was a crucial part of the squad which won La Novena, being involved in the semi-finals against Barcelona and the final against Bayer Leverkusen. In 2003, he left for Germany to continue his career at Borussia Dortmund.
