This school is run as part of a sports programme that favours the integral development of children and healthy recreation in the context of integration in Cangallo, training boys, girls and adolescents in values so that they learn to take on their responsibilities, duties and rights as people for adequate community coexistence.

The sports activities are complemented by extra schooling workshops. Training and medical checks are carried out to evaluate the development and progress of the participants of the programme. They also receive nutritional supplements.

‘Martín Luther King’ Socio-sporting school

DESCRIPCION

The school provides a safe and healthy alternative use of free time: football is played three times a week. As an additional sporting activity, they now offer volleyball.

There is also a comprehensive educational support programme (reinforcement classes, scholarships, school equipment, specific educational programme) for young people, which offers meals, health services (medical check-ups, prevention talks), a professional training programme and job orientation. Furthermore, they offer cultural and leisure activities, community activities and schools for parents.

This school carries out a specialised social reinsertion and reintegration programme for former gang members in Lima.

‘Warma Yachay’ Fundación Real Madrid Socio-sporting School in Huachipa

DESCRIPCION

This socio-sporting school, created together with the Spanish NGO Cesal, contributes to the integral training of boys, girls and adolescents from the Nievería, Jicamarca and Cajamarquilla de Huachipa regions (all situated in the outskirts of Lima) who are in social situations of risk.

The school is located at the Asociación Las Flores de Nievería (Las Flores de Nievería Association) football grounds. Apart from sporting activities, the participants are encouraged to take part in other activities to complement their training, which are carried out in the Educational Support Centre.
