Real Madrid did not miss another year of its traditional visit to the children spending Christmas in hospitals around the capital. The coaches and players from the football and basketball squads, along with representatives of the Real Madrid Foundation, handed out gifts and, above all, unforgettable moments to the little ones.
Carlo Ancelotti and Chus Mateo visited the Sanitas La Zarzuela University Hospital, while Luka Modrić and Sergio Llull visited the Sanitas La Moraleja University Hospital. The rest of the football and basketball first team members were distributed throughout several hospitals in the capital.
More than 1,500 hospitalised children and young people are benefiting from this initiative, which is part of the Real Madrid Foundation‘s campaign No child without a present at Christmas. This act of solidarity reinforces the club's commitment to its children's basketball programme in hospitals, which uses sport as a tool to promote values and improve the well-being of the participants.
