Last week, the First Alma Cup of the Real Madrid Foundation was held in Wollongong, about 80 km from Sydney (Australia), in collaboration with Warrawong High School and Wellington High School, sponsored by the New South Wales Department of Education.

More than 70 beneficiaries of the social sports projects, along with a dozen educators, participated in this cultural and sports gathering, which combines the practice of educational sports with the interaction of children from different backgrounds. All of this follows the methodology of the Real Madrid Foundation, For a REAL Education: Values and Sport.

The social sports school in Wollongong carries out its activities at Warrawong High School, a secondary education center that includes the Foundation’s activities as part of the support program for students with difficulties. The school is characterized by the contemporary cultural diversity of Australia, with students from 39 different nationalities. Also participating in the Alma Cup were beneficiaries from the social sports school in Wellington, a small rural town in central New South Wales, where the integral development of students is promoted through sports, instilling positive values and developing healthy skills and habits.
