Sergio Rodríguez spoke before the team's training session at the Uber Arena. The Madrid point guard talked about the semi-final clash against Olympiacos (Friday, 9:00pm CEST): "We're prepared and focused for the game. We always have the pressure of being Real Madrid but at the same time we've come here to have fun and we know that it's another chance to win a title. We all understand the moment we have come to. We go into the game having played a whole season and it's normal that there are nerves now but we try to train and think only about the game against Olympiacos."
"We're feeling good. Being here is already a prize but we all know how important it is to be very focused from the beginning to be able to achieve our goal, which is to win the Euroleague. We've played against them several times, we played in last year's final and we know that they are a very competitive and very physical team. We have to try to be highly focused and enjoy the game."
Historic milestone
"We go into the game having won last year. We came first but with the current format, whoever came first didn't win. It's also important for us to be clear about that, to know that we've had a great season, very good playoffs, but we have to be very focused and go for it. They're a great team. Last year we came back from 0-2 down in the playoffs and we hope this year we can win and break that negative streak for those who finish first in the Regular Season. But we have a lot of experience and those of us who've been here many times know how important it is to be very highly focused on Thursday on what we have to do tomorrow and we are."
Confidence
"You have to be clear that the road to this point helps you but when you go out on court it doesn't matter what you've done. It's a final. Everything you've won can help you to have the confidence to do better at certain moments. But all four teams are starting from scratch and we all have the same options."
