The Real Madrid Foundation's socio-sporting school is located in Porto-Novo, the country’s political capital, close to the border with Nigeria and 34km from the economic capital, Cotonou.
 
The Real Madrid foundation’s partner is the Foyer Don Bosco, who have been working in the town since 1995 when they founded the first home for street children. With the aim of reintegrating these young people, they take them in and provide them with training (formal and professional education). In the year 2000 they opened a new children’s home, the Magone Centre, which is located 1km away from the first home, close to a primary and secondary school. The Magone Centre welcomes children who for different reasons have not been able to reintegrate into a family. Those who are old enough and have the required level are tutored in order to go on to a normal school, and those who are older, who cannot take formal education, are offered comprehensive training in order to become literate whilst learning a trade. The Centro also carries out accelerated courses for underage workers who are in the government’s Programme for Accelerated Courses (PCA), which is three years long, and awards a certificate in Primary Education to those who complete it.

The socio-sporting school is located in the second home and the beneficiaries are the children who are educated by the Foyer Don Bosco and Magone Centre, underage boy and girls who work and participate in the PCA, and boys and girls educated in the Tokpota neighbourhood who come from families with economic difficulties. As well as practising sports, the beneficiaries receive reinforcement classes, a health check-up and take part in workshops about different subjects (health and hygiene, equality, non violence...etc.) and activities designed to raise awareness towards their families and community.
