Zinedine Zidane spoke to the media at the Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles after the match against Manchester City: "I'm not happy about the defeat, obviously. We didn’t have a bad game but it’s a bad result. We’re still in the preparation stage, it’s the second game. There’s no need to keep talking about what has happened, we lost and that's that. They were a bit superior at important moments. Now it's time to rest, we have another game on Saturday and we want to have a better match".
"The good thing is that everyone has played. The players who have just joined us played half an hour and did well. Those who started have played for an hour and we’ve not picked up any injuries. The only one is Toni from the other day. I don’t like to lose and we’re a bit annoyed".
"I’m happy with all of them. They’re very young and very good. They’re talented and they work well. I’ll not pick out one in particular. I'm happy with Óscar’s goal. An 18-year-old scoring for the first team is a great thing".
"Let's hope that all of the members of the BBC stay here. I want the BBC to stay put, it's the same for all of the players who are here. That said, up until 31 August anything can happen".
"He always wants to perform well and do a good job. Throughout a player's career there will always be tough times, they've all experienced that. The good thing about Keylor is that he never gives up and he always want to perform well. He's having a good pre-season and he's in fine shape".
Bouts with Guardiola
"They're a team that's bolstered their ranks and that shows. They're a good side and they had some good moments out there. Our intensity dropped off a bit and the game panned out as it did. It wasn't a bad performance and we did some good things. We had our chances. We lost the game and we've now got to focus on the next one and produce an improved display in it".
"I'm the coach here and you'd have to ask someone else about that. We're working on things and we'll see what happens. We've got the players who are here now and we'll just have to see what happens".
