Martin Odegaard (Drammen, Norway, 1998) is Real Madrid's newest player. The Whites have signed one of the most talented and promising young players around at the moment. The midfielder, who was playing for Stromsgodset, turned 16 on 17 December and has already blown people away on the European stage. He is the youngest footballer in history to play in a European Championship qualifier.
The Whites' most recent arrival broke various records at just 15 years of age. He is also the youngest player to ever make his debut for the Norwegian national team. On top of that, he is the youngest player to have made his debut and scor in the Norwegian League.
Last season, Odegaard was the greatest breakthrough talent in his national championship. He played 23 of hi team's 30 league games and scored five goals in the process. Ancelotti has already pointed out the huge potential the new Madrid star possesses: “He is a young player with a future and bags of quality”.
