A quick, no-nonsense centre-back, Jesús Vallejo also stands out on account of his character and personality, two qualities which saw him captain Real Zaragoza at just 18 years of age and have helped make him one of the most promising young defenders in Spanish football.
Signed by Real Madrid on the 31st of July 2015, Vallejo continued at the Aragon-based club during the 2015/16 campaign. He spent last season on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt. In Germany he made 25 Bundesliga appearances and helped his team reach the final of the cup.
He has represented Spain at international level in the youth teams, and won the U19 European Championships in 2015. In June 2017 he was part of the team that finished runner up in the U21 European Championships in Poland, playing four of the five games in the tournament.
