Chus Mateo analysed Real Madrid’s victory over Baskonia in the third playoff match, which sealed their place in the Final Four in Berlin. The madridista coach had the following to say: “We wanted to have a chance at the end because the fatigue could have affected Baskonia. It's not easy to win here and the start was tough.”
“The 56 points at the start were down to the way we both played. Defensively, in five-on-five we weren't bad, but we always believed we could get back into the game.”
