THE BEGINNING
OF OUR JOURNEY

Real Madrid and Emirates have been together since 2011, and it was in 2013 that Emirates became part of our shirt, as Main Partner. And our journey with Emirates as our Main Partner could not have started in a better way. The Champions League, the competition that brings together the best teams in Europe took the centre stage in our first year of this historic partnership. After a few years without being able to lift the trophy, the arrival of Emirates led the way. We achieved the coveted title, winning the long-awaited "La Décima".
The final game of this edition became the first "Euro Derby" in history, where we had to face Atlético de Madrid, defeating the red and white team in extra time.

Undoubtedly the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti, with Zinedine Zidane as assistant coach, marked the beginning of a great era for the club. In addition, we managed to win Copa del Rey against FC Barcelona after Gareth Bale's now legendary goal.
Furthermore, during this season Emirates was recognised as the most valuable airline on the planet, according to Brand Finance. Also, the Concourse A Terminal, the world's first building designed specifically for A380s, opened at Dubai International Airport, expanding the airport's capacity to 75 million passengers per year. Without doubt, 2013/2014 was a very good start.

EMIRATES
30TH ANNIVERSARY

2014/2015 also marked a milestone for Emirates and the club. Emirates' 30th anniversary involved the start of a season that began just as the previous one ended: winning titles. We won the European Super Cup in Cardiff, and the Club World Cup in Morocco. Two great titles to start the season, confirming the high level of the team shown over the last few months.
This season was a season of records:

The club's longest winning streak to date was achieved, winning 22 consecutive matches. Victories like we hadn't seen for a long time, with a spectacular 9-1 win over Granada CF, where Cristiano Ronaldo scored 5 goals. A season that included 8 Madrid derbies, facing Atlético de Madrid in La Liga, Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup and Champions League. For the second time in our history we achieved full points in the Group Stage of the highest continental competition, with 18 points, which has only been achieved on two occasions.

WINNING
“LA UNDÉCIMA”

Despite being a difficult season, titles were once again achieved. On the one hand, Emirates consolidated its position as the best airline in the world again and received twelve consecutive awards for best in-flight entertainment at the Skytrax World Airline Awards. On the other hand, the team managed to lift the coveted Champions League once again, winning the "Undécima".
On the 9th January, Zinedine Zidane made his debut as our coach, paving the way for a few years of historic success for the team. It all began with the team's biggest ever win in the Group Stage of the competition: a spectacular 8-0 win over Malmö FF, with an incredible hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo.

THE TRIPLE
CROWN SEASON

It was the start of Emirates' fourth season as the club's main sponsor, and in the only way possible together, it was a season full of success, winning 4 titles: La Liga, Champions League, Club World Cup, and European Super Cup. A season for the history books, for many reasons:

The renowned "Triple Crown" was achieved, winning all 3 possible international titles in one season. We managed to win the Champions League for the second year in a row. 40 consecutive matches without defeat.
In addition, 2017 saw a strategic sponsorship with Fly Dubai, which allowed for network optimisation, schedule compatibility and code-share agreements. In addition, Emirates introduced the world's first fully enclosed private first class suites with unprecedented luxury and privacy.

CHAMPIONS,
THREE YEARS
IN A ROW.

Once again, the club managed to write a golden page in the history books of football, winning the Champions League for the third consecutive year, something that no team in the history of the sport has ever achieved. Emirates used one of the Champions League clashes against PSG on Valentines Day to launch the newly branded A380 planes, a hit on social media.

This season ended with four titles won by the club: European Super Cup, Spanish Super Cup, Club Wo Cup and Champions League, obtaining once again the aforementioned Triple Crown.
A season with moments to remember, such as the spectacular goals by Cristiano Ronaldo against Juventus, or Gareth Bale against Liverpool. Historic matches such as those against FC Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup.

FLYING IN STYLE
TO THE VICTORY

After five years of great success, we were in a season of transition. 2018 ended with the Club World Cup triumph for the seventh time, making Real Madrid the first club in history to win it three times in a row and our fourth FIFA Club World Cup win together with Emirates. The competition took place in Abu Dhabi, and the players enjoyed flying with Emirates on a brand new A380 Airbus, decorated specially for Real Madrid to ensure we flew in style.
It also marked a very important milestone in the club's history: the Members' Assembly approved the renovation of the stadium, with the aim of turning it into the best stadium in the world. It was a season where Luka Modric dazzled with special brilliance: he won his first Ballon d'Or, The Best award, and the UEFA Player of the Year award.

Plus within the period from 2010 to 2019, Emirates added a further 54 routes in an historic decade.

FOOTBALL LIKE WE’VE
NEVER SEEN BEFORE

Although in this season we returned to the path of titles, this season will never be remembered for the sporting aspect. The global pandemic caused the sport to stop and travel was halted. After months of uncertainty, without football, with lockdowns, and flights grounded, little by little the light began to appear. The team had to play its matches at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano, away from the Bernabéu and its fans.
Being away from them was something that took its toll on the team. Nevertheless, they managed to finish the the league as the team that conceded the fewest goals, showing great mental and physical strength, despite the adversity thus winning our 34th league title.

We also won our 11th Super Cup, this time in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia where we flew in style with Emirates on their A380 and the players enjoyed the all the comforts that Emirates has to offer.
Before the pandemic hit the world, Emirates acheived a world record-breaking flight when more than 540 volunteer passengers of 145 nationalities took off on Emirates flight EK2019, breaking the Guinness World Record for the most nationalities on an aircraft.

A NEW STADIUM
IN THE MAKING,
AND A NEW TEAM

Like the previous season, we ended up playing the whole season without fans, from the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium. It was a season in which we didn't win any titles, but we did begin to glimpse what the New Santiago Bernabéu was going to be like. Despite the pandemic, Emirates remained the largest international airline, carrying 15.8 million passengers in 2020. As routes opened up again, Real Madrid and Emirates celebrated the news.
The highlight of this season was the birth of the new Real Madrid Women’s Team. A new team in the club, ready to achieve great success in the coming years. In their debut season, the team finished the season in second position, which also allowed the team to qualify for the Women's Champions League. The women also shared how they experience Christmas when they go home with Emirates, with our Fly Back Home Campaign.

FLYING BACK HOME

This season saw the long-awaited return to our Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, which is gradually taking shape as the new stadium that we all hope and wish for. The Emirates Pavilion also opened its doors to visitors to the highly successful Expo 2020 Dubai and presented the future of commercial aviation, with a special visit from Real Madrid Legends, Roberto Carlos, Iker Casillas and Álvaro Arbeloa.
We won our 12th Spanish Super Cup against Athletic Bilbao in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, with players ‘flying better’ in the iconic Emirates A380 for the journey.

We also achieved more titles this season: our 35th La Liga, and further enhanced our legendary status in world football by clinching our 14th Champions League in 2022.
This was also the 5th Champions League Title with Emirates since the start of the partnership. It was aspectacular journey to the final, coming back time and time again against the odds in a season that will go down in history and remain in the memory of all madridistas.
