The Second Half of LaLiga Kicks Off

Second game of the week for Real Madrid, who look for another victory after Thursday's win against Valencia. Today the Whites visit Son Moix to face Mallorca on matchday 20, the first of the second half of the season (2.00 pm CET). Carlo Ancelotti's men will be looking to get three more points before going into Mthe Club World Cupundial de Clubes in Morocco next week.

Madrid are eager to build on the good form they showed against Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Whites have now gone five games unbeaten in two competitions: LaLiga and the Copa del Rey. In addition, they have kept three clean sheets in the last three games and are the top-scoring team in the league with 40 goals.

"Mallorca are very solid at the back and one key to the game will be to manage the ball well," said Ancelotti at the pre-match press conference. The Italian coach has called up the following players for the game. Among them is Vini Jr. who, after his stunning goal against Valencia, has played a key role in 10 league goals (7 goals and 3 assists). The Brazilian was also one of the star players in the 4-1 win over Mallorca in the first half of the season.

Javier Aguirre's side have won three and drawn one of their last three home league games. They are also one of the teams that concede the fewest goals at home.
