Benzema, Modrić and Courtois named in IFFHS Men’s World Team 2022

Benzema, Modrić and Courtois have been named in the 2022 men's team of the year by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). This award is in recognition of the achievements of the three madridistas over the past year, when they secured the Champions League, LaLiga, the Uefa Super Cup and the Spanish Super Cup.
 
Alongside the three Real Madrid players, Alphonso Davies, Van Dijk, Gvardiol, Achraf Hakimi, Messi, De Bruyne, Haaland and Mbappé round off the line-up. Courtois has also been named by the IFFHS as the best goalkeeper in the world and Ancelotti as the best club coach.
