All out for the 3rd win of the week

NEWS STORY. 27/11/2022. Edu Bueno

Chus Mateo's team  visit Real Betis in 9th LaLiga matchday (12:30pm CET).

Real Madrid to play the last game of November. A memorable month in which they have managed a full house of victories in the Euroleague following two wins this week against Valencia Basket and  Partizán. Today, they return to the very place in which they won their ninth Super Cup two months ago, the Palacio Municipal de Deportes San Pablo, to face Real Betis Baloncesto.
The team led by Chus Mateo, still in the upward dynamic of the learning curve this season, has won six of the seven games played in November. The only hiccup was in Zaragoza, but since then they have won five on the trot  and have looked great in their play. In the Euroleague double-header, Madrid's ability to adapt to games was blatant. In Valencia they won in defence (73-80) and last Thursday at the WiZink Center in attack (105-97), with a season scoring record to boot. Additionally, in the last league game we accomplished our biggest ever win, beating UCAM Murcia by 36 points (93-57).

Tricky game. Real Betis have only won once; the game against Baxi Manresa, and are currently bottom of the league. However, they have capable players and the second highest scorer in the league in Shannon Evans (19 points on average). Casimiro's team is a physical one, which recovers a lot of balls, and boasts a lateral threat (Hill, Johnson, Kurucs...). On the inside, their main man is Tsalmpouris (2.16m) with of Gerun and Nzosa unavailable. Madrid is the only team to exceed 100  index rating points (106.3) while their opponents are at 70.
Good Memories
Sevilla and San Pablo saw Madrid lift their ninth Supercup on 25th September, they had beaten Barça in the final (89-93). Just the day before, we had played Bétis in the semi-finals and won with a convincing 69-100 scoreline. Musa, in a spectacular debut (33 index rating points) was the great architect of the road to the final. Last season we also won the league title there 69-71 with a three-pointer from Hanga plus a block from Tavares on the home stretch. We are looking for our seventh win in the league there today.
