The academy graduate has clocked up 281 appearances and lifted 15 trophies with Real Madrid.

Today sees Lucas Vázquez celebrate his 31st birthday. The midfield man was born on 1 July 1991 in Curtis (A Coruña) and is about to embark on his eighth season as a member of the first-team squad. With 281 appearances to his name, the academy product has helped the team to 15 trophies: four Champions Leagues, three Club World Cups, two UEFA Super Cups, three league titles and Spanish Super Cups apiece, plundering 29 goals in the process.
His Real Madrid career began in 2007, when he checked in at the academy and represented the Juvenil C team. After moving up through the ranks and spending a season at Espanyol, the academy youngster was promoted to the Real Madrid first team in the summer of 2015. Last season, he chalked up 41 appearances and played his part as the team captured the Champions League, LaLiga and the Spanish Super Cup.
