Online training for the Foundation's schools in India

NEWS STORY. 29/06/2022

The project in Trichy, in collaboration with the Hope and Joy Foundation, helps over 600 children.

The coach-educators at the Real Madrid Foundation's social sports schools in Trichy, (India) received the second round of training in football and values, delivered online by the Foundation's Training Department. The city is home to six social sports schools, aiding around 600 beneficiaries from local education centres, in collaboration with the Hope and Joy Foundation.
The training looks to strengthen knowledge of the Real Madrid Foundation's philosophy and educational methodology, For a REAL Education, Values and Sport, and explain in depth the techniques and other essential aspects of the comprehensive teaching model. The coaches were very interested to learn about these active and innovative methodologies for sporting tuition, which place the students themselves at the forefront of the learning process, helping to boost values such as independence.
Activities of educational value
The beneficiaries of the social sports schools are boys and girls of different religious beliefs, coming from families in situations of social exclusion. The Foundation's schools wish to contribute to the children's integral development through football training sessions, promoting attitudes around educational values and aiding the acquisition of sporting skills, as well as developing motor skills and physical fitness to ensure healthy lifestyle habits.

Alongside the sporting program, the beneficiaries receive food and extra-curricular school support in an attempt to avoid school drop-out. Furthermore, families are encouraged to get involved through workshops and talks about the importance of keeping their children in school, seeking to stop them from entering the world of work prematurely.
