Real Madrid clinched the title against Fenerbahçe in Belgrade (85-80).

Today marks the fourth anniversary of Real Madrid basketball team's tenth European Cup trophy triumph. Following the continental success in 2015, Pablo Laso's team picked up their second European crown inside four seasons, coming out on top in the Final Four in Belgrade. Madrid came through an injury-plagued season in spectacular fashion to lift the EuroLeague trophy by defeating Fenerbahçe 85-80 in the final. Causeur was the madridistas' leading scorer with 17 points, while Doncic (15) was named Final Four MVP. The Slovenian ace was also voted the EuroLeague's best player.

Prior to the clash with the Turkish side, Real Madrid got the better of CSKA Moscow, the winners of the Regular Season (83-92). In the final, Laso's men beat Fenerbahçe in an encounter which saw them on the front foot throughout, but which wasn't put to bed until the final moment. At 81-78 in their favour with 22 seconds left on the clock, a Thompkins basket from an offensive rebound and two Causeur free-throws made sure the madridistas secured La Décima.
