Fundación Real Madrid Clinics Wakatake

Presentation of Real Madrid Foundation clinics in Japan

NEWS STORY. 18/05/2022

The clinics will take place this summer in conjunction with Wakatake Group and be held across three locations.

The lecture theatre at Real Madrid City hosted the presentation of the Foundation clinics that are due to take place in the coming months in Japan in conjunction with Wakatake Group. The event was attended by the managing director of the Real Madrid Foundation, Julio González Ronco; Real Madrid Juvenil A player, Takuhiro Nakai; and Joel Santos Boedo, director of Wakatake Group.
Nakai expressed his support for the Foundation’s clinics programme and commented: “I hope that the children who attend the clinics in Japan run by Wakatake and the Real Madrid Foundation enjoy themselves and learn the values that football and Real Madrid teach us to become better people.” Meanwhile, Santos thanked Nakai for attending the event and being the best possible ambassador for the project as a representative of the values of madridismo and Japan, whilst also commenting that the clinics involve the following three objectives: football training, instilling the Foundation and club’s values, and the development required to ensure the sustainability of the clinics.
The clinics held across the respective locations will last three days: in Mie from 22 to 24 July; in Saga from 26 to 28 July; and in Tokyo from 30 July to 1 August. The latter clinic will be staged at the headquarters of the Foundation’s football school in Harumi and is run thanks to the collaboration agreement between Wakatake and Global Football Management.
This tour will mark the end of an absence of more than two years without being able to organise any such activities with the Real Madrid Foundation in Japan due to the restrictions of the pandemic. Three strategic areas situated in different geographical locations around the country have been selected with the aim of once again inspiring all those boys and girls with an educational experience in technical improvement. This combines the didactic methodology based on the values of the Foundation's sessions with the technical-tactical principles of Real Madrid's youth academy. These initiatives will also be continued at Real Madrid City during the final quarter of the year.
