Benzema named LaLiga player of the month for April

Karim Benzema has been named LaLiga player of the month for April. The forward produced a range of impressive performances in his five appearances against Celta, Getafe, Sevilla, Osasuna and Espanyol. All games ended in victory as Real Madrid stormed to their 35th League title. Benzema is the competition's leading scorer with 26 goals to his name, and hit four of them in April (two against Celta, one against Sevilla and another against Espanyol).
