LaLiga returns after a week off in the competition due to the international break. This evening the league leaders visit Balaídos to take on Celta on matchday 30 of the championship, ahead of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Chelsea. Real Madrid have a golden opportunity to extend their lead over their two closest challengers, Sevilla and Barcelona, who go head-to-head on Sunday.
To move clear in the league table, the Whites must first overcome Celta. If previous meetings are anything to go by, the visitors can be optimistic, having emerged victorious on their last three trips to Balaídos. Madrid have also kept clean sheets in their last three away games in LaLiga: Mallorca (0-3), Rayo (0-1) and Villarreal (0-0).

Celta go into the weekend in 11th position in the standings, on 36 points. The Galician outfit will be vying to pick up their tenth win in the competition, after drawing last time out at home to Betis. The team’s top goal scorer is Iago Aspas, who has netted 13 goals in LaLiga this campaign.
